Irvin, No. 24 Michigan rout Bucknell
Nov 18, 2014 - 6:26 AM Ann Arbor, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Zak Irvin had 23 points and five rebounds as No. 24 Michigan cruised to a 77-53 victory over Bucknell on Monday night.Max Bielfeldt posted 18 points off the bench and Derrick Walton added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines (2-0), who beat Division II Hillsdale College in their opener on Saturday.
"We played a great first half and in the second half, we certainly weren't going to duplicate that," Michigan coach John Beilein said.
Chris Hass led the Bison (1-1) with 21 points.
The Wolverines raced out to a 12-2 start and led by as many 31 in the opening 20 minutes before settling for a 48-19 advantage heading into the break. Michigan then cruised in the second half en route to the easy win.
Game Notes
Michigan shot 46 percent (29-of-63) from the floor and went 8-of-18 from beyond the arc ... The Wolverines outrebounded the Bison 37-29 ... Caris LeVert tallied six points, six assists and six boards for Michigan.
