Pecora fired at Fordham
Mar 18, 2015 - 5:19 PM Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Fordham fired head men's basketball coach Tom Pecora on Wednesday.Pecora was just 44-106 in five years at the school and his student-athlete retention rate over the past four years was just 50 percent. The Rams went just 10-21 this season, going 4-14 in the Atlantic 10.
Fordham will launch a national search for a new head men's basketball coach immediately, and will use the services of a search firm in the process.
Pecora took over at Fordham in March 2010 after nine years as head coach at Hofstra. He compiled a record of 155-126 at Hofstra, leading the Pride to three NIT appearances.
