Balanced Fordham defeats Fairleigh Dickinson 85-62
Nov 21, 2015 - 9:43 PM NEW YORK (AP) Christian Sengfelder and Joseph Chartouny scored 15 points each to lead a balanced Fordham to an 85-62 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday.Ryan Rhoomes and Ryan Canty scored 12 points each for the Rams (2-1), and Mandell Thomas scored 11.
Chartouny also grabbed eight rebounds and had seven assists with five steals.
Fordham notched 11 steals in the game and Fairleigh Dickinson turned the ball over 22 times. The Rams also had 20 assists on 28 field goals.
Earl Potts, Jr. led the Knights (1-3) with 15 points, the lone player to reach double figures.
The Rams led the whole way, but the first half stayed close until Chartouny scored a 3-pointer and later added two free throws as Fordham built its lead into double digits in the final two minutes of the first half. Sengfelder opened the second half with a 3, and Thomas a jumper to stretch the lead to 16.
