Georgia State's R.J. Hunter to enter NBA Draft
Mar 30, 2015 - 5:09 PM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Georgia State junior R.J. Hunter is entering the NBA Draft, the school confirmed Monday.Hunter, a 6-foot-6 guard, recently led the Panthers to a Sun Belt championship and a first-round upset over Baylor in the NCAA Tournament.
His long 3-pointer in the final seconds to knock off the third-seeded Bears went viral after his dad, Georgia State coach Ron Hunter, fell off a rolling stool in celebration.
Ron Hunter had torn his Achilles tendon celebrating the Panthers' win over Georgia Southern in the conference title game,
R.J. Hunter led the team in scoring, averaging 19.7 points in 35 games. He had 20 points in Georgia State's loss to Xavier in the NCAA Tournament.
