Northwestern F Vic Law to miss season with shoulder injury
Nov 11, 2015 - 5:19 PM EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Northwestern forward Vic Law is facing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss the season.The injury occurred over the summer and got progressively worse.
Coach Chris Collins says the recovery will take four to six months and that Law ''remains a foundational piece of our program for the future.''
A sophomore, Law averaged 7.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while ranking fifth in Big Ten conference play by making 44 percent of his 3-pointers last season.
Northwestern opens the season Friday against UMass Lowell.
