UCLA hosts Division II Cal State San Bernardino

Nov 13, 2007 - 3:10 PM San Bernardino (3-0) at No. 2 UCLA (2-0) 10:30 pm EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Second-ranked UCLA should have little trouble advancing to the semifinals of the CBE Classic when it hosts Division II Cal State-San Bernardino on Tuesday.

As expected, the Bruins have opened the season with easy home wins over Portland State and Youngstown State.

UCLA extended its home winning streak to 22 games with an 83-52 win over Youngstown State on Monday. Freshman Kevin Love led the way for the Bruins, collecting 21 points and nine rebounds.

The Bruins continue to play without point guard Darren Collison, who is recovering from a sprained knee.

Lance Ortiz scored 16 points to lead Cal State-San Bernardino to a 71-59 upset of Weber State on Monday. Ortiz made four 3-pointers for the Coyotes, who went 12-of-27 from the arc.

The winner of this contest meets Maryland in Kansas City on Monday.
