Arkansas takes on College of Charleston in San Juan
Nov 15, 2007 - 2:39 PM College Of Charleston (0-1) at No. 18 Arkansas (1-0) 5:00 pm ESTSAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Ticker) -- No. 18 Arkansas takes on the College of Charleston on Wednesday during the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
Coach John Pelphrey won his debut with Arkansas on Friday when the Razorbacks defeated Wofford, 67-45. Pelphrey replaced Stan Heath as coach after spending the previous five seasons at the helm of South Alabama.
Patrick Beverley, the reigning Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, led four Razorbacks in double figures with 15 points.
The College of Charleston - out of the Southern Conference - lost its opener on Saturday to UNC-Wilmington, 98-91.
Freshman Andrew Goudelock led the Cougars with 27 points, while junior Jermaine Johnson had 19 points and nine rebounds.
The winner will face either Providence or Temple in the second round on Friday.
