Duke, Princeton square off in the Maui Invitational
Nov 19, 2007 - 3:02 PM Princeton (2-0) vs. No. 10 Duke (2-0) 9:00 pm ESTMAUI, Hawaii (Ticker) -- Duke has dominated Princeton on the hardwood in the past. The way the Blue Devils have started the season, that pattern should not change on Monday.
No. 10 Duke will look to go to 3-0 when it takes on Princteon in the first round of the Maui Invitational. Duke is 16-1 all-time against Princeton and has won its first two games of this season by an average of 45.0 points.
The Blue Devils also are 9-0 in the Maui Invitational, winning titles in 1992, 1997 and 2001.
Jon Scheyer leads five Blue Devils, who average in double figures, scoring 17.5 points per game.
Sophomore Zach Finley is averaging 18.0 points per game for the Tigers, who have scored just 62.5 points per game compared to 103.5 points for Duke.
Princeton, which hasn't beaten Duke since 1981, also is looking to go 3-0 for the first time since the 2003-04 season.
The winner will face either Arizona State or Illinois on Tuesday.
