ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Ticker) -- Butler makes its longest road trip of the season on Wednesday when they travel to Alaska to take on Michigan in the Great Alaska Shootout.

The No. 23 Bulldogs have started the season with three straight wins with defensive pressure and stellar backcourt play. Butler has limited each of its three foes to less than 20 points in at least one half of each game.

Senior guard A.J. Graves is averaging 19.7 points per game and has tallied at least 20 in each of the last two contests.

The Wolverines are coming off a 74-52 loss last Thursday at fifth-ranked Georgetown.

Sophomore forward DeShawn Sims was named Big Ten Conference Player of the Week for the week of November 12 and is averaging 13.7 points per contest. Freshman Manny Harris leads Michigan at 16 points per game.

Butler and Michigan are meeting for the 30th time as basketball opponents. The Wolverines have won the last six meetings and lead the overall series, 17-12.

Butler's last victory over Michigan came 42 years ago in December of 1965.
