Duke looks for revenge against Marquette

MAUI, Hawaii (Ticker) -- Duke is on a roll and looking for a little revenge exactly one year later.

The 10th-ranked Blue Devils battle Marquette on Wednesday in the final of the Maui Invitational.

Duke is 11-0 in Maui Invitational play, winning the tournament in 1992, 1997 and 2001, but will be facing a Marquette team that handed them their first loss of last season, 73-62 on November 21, 2006, in the final of the CBE Classic.

Gerald Henderson scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Blue Devils to a 79-66 victory over Illinois in the semifinals on Tuesday.

Senior guard DeMarcus Nelson scored 16 points and freshman sensation Kyle Singler battled foul trouble to add eight points for Duke, which is attempting to become the first school to win four Maui Invitational tournaments.

Jerel McNeal scored 20 points as the 13th-ranked Golden Eagles cruised to a 91-61 victory over Oklahoma State to advance to the final.

Dominic James had 18 points and Wesley Matthews added 13 for Marquette.
