NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Freshman DeAndre Jordan has gotten off to a brilliant start at Texas A&M.

Jordan and the 15th-ranked Aggies hope to remain unbeaten Wednesday when they square off with Washington in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden.

The Aggies have dominated the early portion of their schedule, winning their first four games by an average of 17 points.

A key to their early season success has been the 7-foot Jordan, who is averaging 10.8 points while shooting 91 percent (20-of-22) from the floor. The 240-pounder enters Wednesday's contest with 16 consecutive made field goals - a Big 12 Conference record.

Junior forward Josh Carter leads Texas A&M in scoring at 16.0 points per game and has connected on 52 percent (12-of-23) of his 3-point attempts in the early going.

Jordan had 12 points and 10 rebounds while Carter chipped in 12 points as Texas A&M cruised to an 85-59 triumph over Division III Ouachita Baptist.

The Huskies are coming off an 82-68 win against Eastern Washington at home on Sunday. They advanced to the NIT semifinals by posting home wins against New Jersey Tech and Utah.

Washington junior Jon Brockman powered Washington to an 83-77 victory over Utah in the West Regional championship game of the NIT, November 14, registering career highs with 31 points and 18 rebounds in the contest.

These teams last met in the second round of the 1982 postseason NIT, with the Aggies edging the Huskies, 69-65, in Seattle. Texas A&M is 2-20 all-time against members of the Pac-10 Conference, with the only two wins coming against Washington.
