Ninth-ranked Washington State hosts Montana
Nov 23, 2007 - 4:27 PM Montana (3-1) vs. No. 9 Washington St (3-0) 10:30 pm ESTSPOKANE, Washington (Ticker) -- Ninth-ranked Washington State looks to continue its undefeated start Friday when it hosts Montana in the opening round of the Cougar Hispanic College Fund Classic.
The Cougars are coming off a 74-43 victory over Idaho.
Junior center Aron Baynes and senior guard Derrick Low led Washington State with 12 points apiece.
Low leads the Cougars in scoring at 17.3 points per game, followed by senior guard Kyle Weaver (12.0), Baynes (10.7) and junior forward Daven Harmeling (10.3).
The Grizzlies have won two straight after dropping a 77-54 decision to No. 14 Gonzaga.
Montana's last game was a 70-61 victory at South Dakota State, as junior forward Jordan Hasquet scored a season-high 29 points.
