Robert Morris never trails in 65-54 win over Bryant

Jan 23, 2016 - 11:12 PM SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Kavon Stewart scored 18 points, Elijah Minnie added 13 to go with 12 rebounds and a career-best six blocks, and Robert Morris never trailed in a 65-54 win over Bryant on Saturday.

Rodney Pryor scored 10 points for Robert Morris (6-15, 4-4 Northeast), including seven from the free-throw line in the final 1:15 as the Colonials salted the game away.

Bryant pulled within one, 20-19, with 8:15 left in the first half, and trailed by four twice in the second, but each charge was met with a Robert Morris run to keep the Bulldogs out of striking distance.

Justin Brickman's layup capped a 7-0 Bryant run with 6:30 left to make it 45-41, but Stewart made two free throws and a 3-pointer, and Matty McConnell added a 3 to push the lead to 13 points.

Marcel Pettway had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Bryant (7-14, 4-4).

Robert Morris has won three straight after a 3-15 start.
