Clemson looks to continue home success

Nov 24, 2007 - 2:45 PM Gardner-Webb (4-3) at No. 22 Clemson (4-0) 12:00 pm EST

CLEMSON, South Carolina (Ticker) - No. 22 Clemson continues a five-game homestand Saturday when it hosts Gardner-Webb.

The Tigers are in the midst of a stretch where they play six of their first seven regular-season games at home.

K.C. Rivers scored 11 of his 18 points in the second half to pace Clemson to a 74-57 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday.

The Runnin' Bulldogs have dropped three of their last four games, but the losses came at the hands of Oklahoma and Connecticut (twice).

Gardner-Webb already doubled its non-conference victory total of a year ago after winning only two games away from the Big South Conference. Its biggest win came at then-No. 20 Kentucky on November 6.

Gardner-Webb has four players averaging double figures, led by sophomore guard Grayson Flittner at 17.1 points per game.

Clemson has won the only two meetings between the schools.
