Caracter, Louisville look to bounce back vs. Old Dominion
Nov 24, 2007 - 3:11 PM No. 6 Louisville (3-1) at Old Dominion (3-2) 8:00 pm ESTLAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Derrick Caracter will try to help sixth-ranked Louisville bounce back when they face Old Dominion in the consolation game of the Las Vegas Invitational on Saturday night.
Caracter scored 24 points in the Cardinals' 78-76 setback to Brigham Young on Friday. Louisville struggled from the free-throw line in the contest, going just 15-of-25.
The Monarchs were overmatched in a 99-82 loss against top-ranked North Carolina on Friday. Brandon Johnson, who battled fould trouble, scored 16 points to place five players in double figures for Old Dominion.
After Johnson's fourth foul, the Tar Heels went on a 12-3 run after to turn a three-point advantage into a 60-48 lead with 14:38 left to play and cruised to the win.
