Unbeaten Texas A&M faces Arizona in first true road game

TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Ninth-ranked Texas A&M will play its first true road game of the season on Sunday, facing Arizona as part of the inaugural Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.

The Aggies are coming off a 76-63 win over Alabama on Wednesday. Through seven games, Texas A&M is averaging 75.6 points, shooting just under 50 percent as a team.

Josh Carter averages 13.0 points to lead the Aggies while swingman Joseph Jones adds 11.3 points per contest.

The Wildcats are coming off an easy 91-65 victory on Wednesday over Cal State Fullerton. Freshman guard Jerryd Bayless scored 21 points and Chase Budinger 17 for Arizona.

Bayless is leading the Wildcats in scoring at 18.8 points per game, followed by Budinger (18.3 ppg) and sophomore forward Jordan Hill (11.2 ppg).

Arizona has won all five previous meetings between the two teams. The teams last met in 1995.
