Tulane AD: Ed Conroy out as Tulane men's basketball coach
Mar 14, 2016 - 8:01 PM NEW ORLEANS (AP) Ed Conroy is out as the men's basketball coach at Tulane.Athletics Director Troy Dannen, in a news release Monday, announced that school has decided to part ways with the coach.
Conroy completed his sixth season on Saturday following a loss to Memphis in the semifinals of the American Men's Basketball Championship in Orlando, Florida. This past season, the Green Wave posted a 12-22 overall record, including 3-15 in league games, and a 10th-place finish in The American League. In six seasons, he compiled an overall record of 92-103 and led Tulane to a pair of postseason tournaments, including the Collegeinsider.com (2013) and the College Basketball Invitational (2014).
Dannen thanked Conroy for his service and said the university would immediately begin a search for his replacement.
