Michigan State looks to end Bradley home winning streak

Dec 4, 2007 - 2:09 PM No. 10 Michigan St (6-1) at Bradley (6-2) 9:05 pm EST

PEORIA, Illinois (Ticker) -- Bradley has won its last 29 home games against non-conference opponents. The Braves will be hard-pressed to extend that streak on Tuesday against No. 10 Michigan State.

The Spartans are the first Big Ten team to visit Carver Arena since No. 15 Illinois during the 1999-2000 season. Michigan State is the highest ranked team to visit Peoria since Bradley defeated No. 8 Tulsa, 82-79, in the final regular-season game at Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse on February 27, 1982.

Michigan State (6-1) has won three straight since dropping a 68-63 to then-No. 1 UCLA in the CBE Classic final, including an 80-51 home victory over Jacksonville on Saturday. Sophomore forward Raymar Morgan had 24 points and a seven rebounds for the Spartans.

Morgan leads Michigan State in scoring at 18 points per game. Senior guard Drew Neitzel averages 14.3 points.

The Braves (6-2) have won their last two games following a 95-86 loss to Vanderbilt. Senior guard Jeremy Crouch tied his career best with 25 points in Bradley's last game, a 90-72 home victory over Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.

Senior guard Daniel Ruffin leads the Braves in scoring at 16.4 points per game, followed by Crouch (14.8) and sophomore guard Andrew Warren (11.3).
