Dec 5, 2007 - 2:02 PM No. 17 Clemson (7-0) at East Carolina (3-4) 7:00 pm EST

GREENVILLE, North Carolina (Ticker) - It will not be an overwhelming long trip for Clemson, but it will be going into unfamiliar territory.

K.C. Rivers will hope to lead 17th-ranked Clemson to its eighth consecutive victory when they visit East Carolina for the first time in school history Wednesday night.

With a win, the Tigers would start a season 8-0 for the third straight campaign.

Rivers scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Clemson defeated rival South Carolina, 85-74, on Saturday. The junior swingman is averaging 16.7 points and 7.4 rebounds this season.

Sophomore forward-center Trevor Booker has averaged 9.6 rebounds and 2.9 blocks this campaign. He has 98 blocks in just 43 career games.

The Pirates avoided a three-game losing streak with a 68-65 triumph over George Mason on Sunday. They have been led by sophomore forward Gabe Blair, who is averaging 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds.
