Foster, Vanderbilt go for eighth straight win vs. Wake Forest

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Vanderbilt has clawed its way back into the top 25, and will look to cement its status against one of the best basketball programs of the decade.

Shan Foster will try to lead No. 25 Vanderbilt to its eighth consecutive victory when they host Wake Forest on Wednesday night.

Foster scored 17 points and freshman center Andrew Ogilvy added 16 on 6-of-7 shooting with six rebounds in Saturday's 92-79 triumph over Georgia Tech.

Foster is leading a very talented Commodores' offense, which is scoring over 85 points per game. The senior swingman has averaged 19.6 points this season.

Ogilvy is giving a great contribution in his first season, averaging 18.1 points and 6.0 rebounds on the campaign.

The Demon Deacons bounced back from Thursday's loss to Charlotte with a 72-48 victory over USC Upstate on Saturday. Freshman forward James Johnson had 15 points and 11 boards in that contest.

Johnson has averaged 12.7 points and 8.5 rebounds this season.
