Kent goes for 200th victory as Oregon coach
Dec 8, 2007 - 2:47 PM Utah (5-2) vs. No. 18 Oregon (6-1) 6:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Ernie Kent goes for victory No. 200 as Oregon coach on Saturday when the 18th-ranked Ducks face Utah.
Oregon, averaging 91.3 points per game, has won two straight since losing at non-conference opponent Saint Mary's (Cal.).
All five starters for the high-flying Ducks average double figures. Guard Malik Hairston, a 6--6 senior, leads Oregon at 17.9 points per game.
The Utes, under first-year coach Jim Boylen, come in having won three straight following back-to-back losses to Washington and Santa Clara. Luke Nevill, a 7-1 junior center, averages 14.7 points and 7.7 rebounds for Utah.
The three-game winning streak is Utah's first since starting the 2005-06 season at 4-0.
The Utes lead the series, 7-6.
