No. 19 Gonzaga looks to rebound against Cal State Northridge

SPOKANE, Washington (Ticker) -- No. Gonzaga looks to bounce back from a rare home loss when it meets Cal State Northridge on Saturday.

On Thursday, Gonzaga endured a 51-47 loss to Washington State. It marked just the Bulldogs' secod home loss in four seasons.

Gonzaga struggled offensively against Washington State, shooting under 26 percent.

Sophomore guard Matt Bouldin averages 12.8 points to lead the Bulldogs. Junior Jeremy Pargo adds 12.0 points per contest.

The Matadors, who have won two straight after a 97-74 loss to Duquesne, have forced an average of 21.6 turnovers per game.

Senior forward Calvin Chitwood and senior forward Jonathan Heard are both averaging 13.6 points for the Matadors, who are looking to start 7-1 for the first time since the 1988-89 season.

The all-time series is tied at one win apiece. The teams have not met since the 1993-94 season.
