Jacksonville takes five-game losing streak to No. 5 Georgetown

Dec 9, 2007 - 2:51 PM Jacksonville (3-5) at No. 4 Georgetown (6-0) 1:00 pm EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Jacksonville could have picked a better time than Sunday to take on No. 4 Georgetown.

The Dolphins will be wrapping up a six-game road trip. Jacksonville has lost all five of the previous games, including a 52-50 loss to American on Friday.

Sophomore guard Ben Smith leads the Dolphins in scoring at 15.8 points per game. Sophomore forward Lehmon Colbert, who scored 17 points in the loss to American, averages 14.1 points.

The Hoyas will be seeking their first 7-0 start since the 2003-04 season, when they won their first 10 games.

Georgetown contines to shine defensively. The Hoyas have allowed only 51.7 points per game and are 27-2 in the last two seasons when opponents score 60 or fewer points.

Senior center Roy Hibbert leads Georgetown in both scoring (14.3 points) and rebounds (7.8) per game. Sophomore forward DaJuan Summers averages 10.3 points and junior guard Jessie Sapp 10.0 for the Hoyas.
