Oakland University agrees to 3-year, $864K deal with Kampe

(AP) Oakland University has agreed to terms on a three-year, $864,000 contract extension with basketball coach Greg Kampe.The school in suburban Detroit announced Monday night it had reached a deal with Kampe, keeping him under contract through the 2019-20 season. He will make $275,000 next season in the last year of his previous contract.
Kampe has coached at the same school for 32 seasons. He has won 558 games, ranking 18th among active Division I coaches.
He led the Golden Grizzlies to the NCAA Tournament in 2011, 2010 and 2005.
The Horizon League team was 23-12 last season, its fifth 20-win season in eight years, and lost by a point to Old Dominion in the inaugural Vegas 16 tournament championship game.
