Oakland beats Robert Morris 92-74 behind Hooper

Dec 6, 2015 - 2:37 AM MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) Max Hooper scored 24 points with eight 3-pointers - both career highs - and Oakland beat Robert Morris 92-74 on Saturday.

Kahlil Felder added 21 points with eight assists, and the Golden Grizzlies (4-3) shot 11 of 29 from long distance (64 percent). Percy Gibson scored 16 with 10 rebounds and Jalen Hayes added 13.

Up 40-39 at halftime, Hooper hit two 3-pointers, Felder added another, and Oakland pushed the lead to 52-47. Hooper later hit back-to-back 3s and to make it 74-62 with 6:54 left. Gibson scored six of Oakland's nine points in the final 1:22.

In the first half, Rodney Pryor hit a jumper and dunked amid an 11-4 run, putting the Colonials up 37-28. But the Golden Grizzlies closed and led 40-39 at halftime on Jalen Hayes' free throw.

Pryor scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Robert Morris (1-8). Billy Giles added 16 points with 10 rebounds and Isaiah Still scored 12.
