Kansas looks to remain unbeaten

KANSAS CITY (Ticker) - No. 10 Kansas tries to remain unbeaten Saturday when it faces Ohio.

Kansas is off to its best start since beginning the 2004-05 season at 14-0. The Jayhawks have outscored their opponents by 25.2 points per game, including an 84-66 victory over DePaul on December 8.

Five Jayhawks average double figures, led by Darrell Arthur, who is scoring 13.9 points. Sherron Collins, who is second on the team, averaging 12.7 points, returned in the win over DePaul after missing the previous six games following surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot.

Ohio has won four straight games, including a 61-55 victory at Maryland on Wednesday.

The Bobcats have not allowed more than 60 points in each of the past three games.

Ohio is led by senior Leon Williams, who is averaging 16.8 points and 10.0 rebounds. Williams had 15 points and 15 rebounds against Maryland.

Jerome Tillman and Bubba Walther add 15.0 and 14.0 points per game for Ohio.

Kansas won the only meeting between the two teams, 49-38, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on March 14, 1985.
