Butler aims to bounce back against Florida State
Dec 15, 2007 - 2:33 PM Florida State (9-2) at No. 19 Butler (8-1) 6:00 pm ESTINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- No. 19 Butler looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season when it faces Florida State on Saturday in the John Wooden Tradition.
Butler's leading scorer A.J. Graves was held to just six points as the Bulldogs suffered their first setback of the season, 43-42, against Wright State last Saturday.
Graves is averaging 15.4 points and has made 40 percent of his 3-pointers this season. However, the senior guard has been held without a three in each of his last two games (0-of-11).
The Bulldogs have not lost back-to-back games in their previous 61 contests, but face a tough test against Florida State, which enters the contest on a six-game winning streak.
The Seminoles continued their winning ways last Saturday, posting a dominating 95-55 victory over Maine. Florida State has won eight games this season by double-digits with four coming by at least 20 points.
