Tennessee takes on Western Kentucky in Sun Belt Classic
Dec 15, 2007 - 3:14 PM No. 11 Tennessee (8-1) at Western Kentucky (7-2) 9:35 pm ESTNASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- No. 11 Tennessee aims for its fourth straight win on Saturday when it takes on Western Kentucky in the Sun Belt Classic.
Since losing to then-No. 5 Texas by 19 points on November 24, the Volunteers have rebounded to win two of their last three games by double digits.
The Volunteers have been off since posting a 76-70 victory at Chattanooga on December 4. Chris Lofton scored 16 points to spark the Vols.
Tennessee plays just one home game in the next 39 days.
However, Tennessee will be without Josh Tabb, who is recovering from a sprained ankle, after coach Bruce Pearl told the Knoxville News-Sentinel that the sophomore has lost his place in the nine-man rotation.
Western Kentucky enters the contest having won back-to-back games, including a 77-60 triumph over Eastern Kentucky last Saturday.
