Kansas faces Miami (Ohio) for first time

LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Kansas tries to remain unbeaten Saturday when it hosts Miami (Ohio). With a win, the Jayhawks will be 12-0 for the first time in three years.

The Jayhawks have five players averaging double figures, led by sophomore forward Darrell Arthur at 13.2 points per game. Eight Kansas players play at least 18.0 minutes per game.

On Tuesday, the Jayhawks built a double-digit lead before holding on for a 71-66 win at Georgia Tech. Russell Robinson scored 17 points to lead the way.

Miami is coming off a 61-58 overtime triumph at Illinois, marking its first road win over a Big Ten team since 1984-85.

The RedHawks have been competitive the entire season, with their four losses coming by a combined nine points. Kansas enters averaging 83.7 points.

Miami allows only 58.5 points per game and have not allowed an opponent to score 70 points in 44 straight games, which is the nation's longest active streak.

Junior guard Michael Bramos averages 19 points, while senior forward Tim Pollitz averages 17.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the RedHawks.

It will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
