Texas A&M takes on UC Irvine
Dec 22, 2007 - 2:16 PM UC Irvine (4-6) at No. 11 Texas A&M (10-1) 2:00 pm ESTCOLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) - Since suffering its only loss of the season, No. 11 Texas A&M has defeated its opponents by an average of 34.3 points per game.
The Aggies take a three-game winning streak into Saturday's game with UC Irvine. It will be only the second meeting between the teams and first since 1980.
Since losing to Arizona, the Aggies have rolled to wins over Texas State, Arkansas Pine Bluff and Detroit.
Junior forward Josh Carter leads the Aggies, averaging 13.4 points. Joseph Jones adds 10.9 points per contest. The Anteaters are coming off a 61-54 loss at Sam Houston State on Thursday.
Senior forward Patrick Sanders averages 12.7 points for UCSB, which allows 65.3 points per game to rank near the top in the Big West Conference.
