Clemson, Ole Miss meet for Shootout title

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico (Ticker) - It will be a battle of unbeatens for the San Juan Shootout title on Saturday when No. 15 Clemson faces Mississippi.

The teams are meeting for the first time since Clemson posted an 89-68 win over Mississippi in the second round of the NIT last season. Trevor Booker collected 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks to pace the Tigers.

Clemson, which won this event in 2005, is looking to open a season with a 11 straight victories for a third straight campaign.

Mississippi is looking to match its best start since 2000-2001. The Rebels, who average 87.2 points per game, are led in scoring by senior center Dwayne Curtis at 15.3 points per game. Curtis also averages 8.2 rebounds.
