The Owls avoided a third straight loss with a 70-65 win over TCU on Saturday.
Rice is led by junior forward Patrick Britton, who is scoring 11.3 points per game. Britton has scored in double figures in each of the last six games.
The Aggies lead the all-time series 104-81, but have not faced the Owls since a 56-53 win in 1999.
