Kansas puts perfect record on line against BC
Jan 5, 2008 - 2:03 PM No. 3 Kansas (13-0) at Boston College (10-2) 12:00 pm ESTCHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Kansas plays its third road game of the season Saturday when it visits Boston College.
Kansas is looking to go 14-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season and for the fifth time in school history.
The Jayhawks are averaging 83.5 points and have an average victory margin of 25.1 points. Kansas has forced 17 or more turnovers in all but one game and has shot 50 percent or better in 11 of 13 games.
Sophomore forward Darrell Arthur leads the Jayhawks in scoring at 13.1 points per game and also averages 5.9 rebounds. Junior guard Mario Chalmers is averaging 12.3 points and a team-high 3.1 steals.
The Eagles have played well at home, going 8-1. They enter this contest having won three straight games overall.
Junior guard Tyrese Rice leads the Eagles in scoring at 19.7 points per game and in assists at 6.8 per contest. The teams have split two all-time meetings.
