No. 24 Wisconsin faces Iowa looking for sixth straight win

MADISON, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- No. 24 Wisconsin looks for its sixth consecutive victory when it hosts Iowa on Saturday.

It will be the first conference home game for Wisconsin, which opened Big Ten play Tuesday with a 16-point victory at Michigan.

Sophomore guard Trevon Hughes leads the Badgers in scoring at 14.3 points per game and steals at 1.8 per contest. Brian Butch, a 6--11 senior forward-center, averages 13.1 points and junior forward Marcus Landry adds 10.2 per contest.

The Hawkeyes opened conference play on Tuesday with a 79-76 loss to Indiana. Freshman guard Jake Kelly, who averages 6.9 points, injured his right ankle five minutes into the game and did not return.

Senior guard Justin Johnson averages 15.7 points and 4.9 rebounds, while junior guard Tony Freeman averages 12.8 points for Iowa. The Hawkeyes are 5-5 in their first conference road game of the season in the last 10 years.

Wisconsin won both games last season in similar fashion, pulling away in the second half.

The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series, 76-71, but the Badgers have won eight of the last nine meetings.
