No. 2 Memphis hopes to keep rolling

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia (Ticker) -- No. 2 Memphis looks to remain undefeated when it visits Marshall in a Conference USA game on Saturday.

The Tigers (14-0, 1-0) opened conference play with a 41-point rout of East Carolina on Wednesday, a scenario that is likely to continue throughout conference games.

Memphis has won its last three games by an average of 40.7 points and is averaging 83.7 points for the season.

Junior guard Chris Douglas-Roberts averages 16.9 points and 5.2 rebounds for the Tigers, who have won 24 consecutive conference games.

The Thundering Herd (9-4, 1-0) have won three consecutive games, including a 66-47 victory over Rice on Wednesday. Marshall is 8-1 at home, losing to only Lipscomb.

Junior forward Markel Humphrey averages a team-high 14.8 points for Marshall.

The Tigers have won the last four meetings and lead the series, 4-1.
