Jan 12, 2008 - 3:35 PM No. 3 Kansas (15-0) at Nebraska (11-2) 9:00 pm EST

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Ticker) -- Third-ranked Kansas looks to remain unbeaten when it visits Nebraska in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams on Saturday.

The Jayhawks, who are one of five unbeaten teams left in Division I coming into Saturday, are off to their best start since opening up the 1996-97 campaign with 22 straight wins.

The Jayhawks have five players who average in double figures, led by Darrell Arthur's 13.7 points per game.

Kansas has won its last four contests by at least 24 points and has enjoyed recent success against the Cornhuskers, winning eight straight meetings - including a 92-39 thumping last season.

But Nebraska comes in on a hot streak as well, winning six straight contests. The Huskers also are a perfect 9-0 at home, with a 29.4 point margin of victory at the Bob Devaney Sports Center this season.

Nebraska has not played since an 86-50 triumph over Maryland-Eastern Shore on January 4.

The Cornhuskers are led by 6-11 center Alex Maric, an Australian native who averages 16.2 points and 8.4 rebounds.
