Clemson faces N.C. State looking for second conference win
Jan 15, 2008 - 2:54 PM NC State (11-4) at No. 23 Clemson (13-3) 7:00 pm ESTCLEMSON, South Carolina (Ticker) -- No. 23 Clemson hopes to have an easier time Tuesday when it hosts North Carolina State in an Atlantic Coast Conference game.
The Tigers (13-1, 1-1 ACC) are the first team in ACC history to start conference play with a pair of overtime games. Clemson has split the two games, losing to top-ranked North Carolina and defeating Florida State.
Sophomore swingman Trevor Booker scored 29 points and freshman guard Terrence Oglesby scored 19 points to lead Clemson to a 97-85 win over Florida State on Saturday.
The Wolfpack (11-4, 0-1) are coming off a 93-62 loss to top-ranked North Carolina on Saturday. The game was decided early as North Carolina used a 25-0 run in the first half to take control.
