Louisville seeks third straight conference win

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Louisville will look to extend its conference winning streak to three games on Thursday in a Big East matchup with No. 13 Marquette.

It will be the first game of the season against a ranked opponent for the Cardinals (12-4, 2-1 Big East).

Louisville is coming off Sunday's 64-49 victory at Rutgers. The Cardinals start no seniors, but three average in double figures led by Terrence Williams at 11.6 points per game.

The Golden Eagles (13-2, 3-1) won for the ninth time in 10 games Saturday, posting a 92-66 rout of Notre Dame.

Marquette also start no seniors and has four starters averaging double figures. Junior guards Dominic Jones and Jerel McNeal are averaging 14.9 and 13.5 points, respectively.

The Cardinals have won four of the last five meetings and lead the all-time series, 35-24.
