No. 19 Texas attempts to even conference mark against Colorado

AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) - After a dismal performance in its Big 12 Conference opener, No. 19 Texas looks to bounce back on Saturday against Colorado.

The Longhorns (13-3, 0-1 Big 12) are coming off a 97-84 loss against Missouri last Saturday. It was the first time the Tigers had defeated Texas since 1999.

"If you come out flat in a big conference game, or any conference game, you're going to get beat," Longhorns' junior guard A.J. Abrams said.

Sophomore guard D.J. Augustin leads the Longhorns with 20.6 points and 6.3 assists per game. Abrams is averaging 18.5 points, while sophomore swingman Damion Jones averages 14.6 points and 11.1 rebounds.

The Buffaloes (9-7, 1-1) are coming off a 55-51 victory over Nebraska on Tuesday.

Senior guard Richard Roby leads Colorado with 16.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Senior guard Marcus Hall averages 12.6 points and sophomore guard Xavier Silas 10.7 for the Buffaloes.
