Indiana looks to continue rolling against Penn State

Jan 20, 2008 - 2:34 PM Penn St (10-6) at No. 10 Indiana (15-1) 2:00 pm EST

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Off to its best start in 11 years, 10th-ranked Indiana looks to continue rolling when it hosts Penn State in a Big Ten Conference matchup Sunday.

The Hoosiers (15-1, 4-0 Big Ten) are riding an 11-game winning streak, their longest since a 13-game run during the 1992-93 campaign.

Indiana edged Minnesota on Thursday, 65-60, in its last contest, overcoming 26 turnovers - seven by the freshman sensation Eric Gordon.

Senior D.J. White led the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds against the Golden Gophers while Gordon, the Big Ten's leading scorer, added 12.

The Nittany Lions (10-6, 2-2) have lost their past two contests and will be without leading scorer Geary Claxton for the rest of the season.

Claxton was the leading scorer each of his previous three seasons with Penn State as well. The senior tore his ACL in Tuesday's 80-55 loss to No. 17 Wisconsin.

Claxton was scoring 17.5 points per game and Jamelle Cornley is next on the team, netting 12.1 per contest.

Indiana has won the past three meetings overall and is 14-0 all-time against Penn State in Bloomington.
