Vanderbilt seeks first conference road win vs. Florida

GAINESVILLE, Florida (Ticker) - Still in search of its first conference road win of the season, No. 13 Vanderbilt takes on Florida in Southeast Conference action on Sunday.

The Commodores (17-2, 2-2 SEC East) have dropped their last two road games, losing to Kentucky and Tennessee, respectively. Vanderbilt last played on January 19, defeating Louisiana State, 92-76.

Shan Foster leads the conference in scoring at 20.1 points per game, while freshman A.J. Ogilvy is second on the team, netting 18.5 per contest.

Despite losing their entire starting five from a season ago, the Gators (17-3, 4-1) have won two straight and six of their last seven to rise to the top of the East Division in the SEC.

Florida is coming off a 73-71 victory at South Carolina on Wednesday, thanks to 22 points and 13 rebounds from sophomore center Marreese Speights.

Freshman Nick Calathes had 21 in the win on Wednesday, and leads the team in scoring at 16.0 points per game.

In their last meeting, Vanderbilt snapped then-No. 1 Florida's 17-game winning streak with an 83-70 victory last season. However, the Commodores have not won at Florida since the 2000-01 season.
