Feb 2, 2008 - 12:01 PM No. 7 Michigan St (19-2) at Penn St (10-10) 8:00 pm EST

STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania (Ticker) - Off to the best start in school history, seventh-ranked Michigan State looks to continue its winning ways when it visits struggling Penn State in a Big Ten contest on Saturday.

The Spartans (19-2, 7-1 Big Ten) have won five straight games, including a 51-41 victory over Illinois on Wednesday. It marks the best 21-game start in the school's 109-year history.

The Nittany Lions (10-10, 2-6) have lost six straight games, with the last five setbacks coming by double digits. They enter off a 68-56 defeat to Ohio State on Tuesday.

Since leading-scorer Geary Claxton was lost for the season with a torn ACL, the Nittany Lions have averaged 53.0 points in their last four games.
