Vanderbilt hopes to end struggles
Feb 2, 2008 - 12:03 PM Auburn (12-7) at No. 18 Vanderbilt (17-4) 5:00 pm ESTNASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) - No. 18 Vanderbilt looks to put an end to its recent struggles when it hosts Auburn in a Southeastern Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Commodores (17-4, 2-4 East) have lost two straight and four of their last five games. They are coming off a 74-58 setback at No. 22 Mississippi on Wednesday.
Vanderbilt has to be happy to be home, where it is 13-0.
The Tigers (12-7, 2-4 West) have dropped two straight, including a tough 81-80 home loss on Wednesday to Louisiana State.
Junior guard Rasheem Barrett leads a balanced Tigers' offense at 14.2 points per game, just ahead of senior forward Quan Prowell at 14.1.
