Saint Mary's looks to stay perfect at home

MORAGA, California (Ticker) - Coming off its biggest conference win of the season, No. 23 Saint Mary's hopes to keep its perfect home record intact when they host San Francisco in a West Coast Conference matchup on Friday.

The Gaels (19-3, 6-1 WCC), who are 13-0 at home this season, are coming off an 89-85 overtime victory over Gonzaga on Monday. The win also helped Saint Mary's forge a three-way tie for first place in the conference with the Bulldogs and San Diego.

Freshman guard Patrick Mills had 23 points in the win and leads the team in scoring at 14.9 per game. The Australian-native had 24 in Saint Mary's 79-57 victory over San Francisco in the first meeting between the teams this season on January 26.

The Dons (6-16, 2-5) dropped a 74-67 decision to Loyola Marymount on Monday, one game after giving coach Eddie Sutton his 800th victory last Saturday.

Sutton is 2-8 since he took over in San Francisco and the Dons are just 3-11 on the road this season.

Manny Quezada and Dior Lowhorn each had 20 points Monday's loss and the duo each netted 19 against the Gaels in the first meeting this season. Lowhorn leads the team averaging 20.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.
