No. 5 Kansas out to continue dominance of Baylor

Feb 9, 2008 - 11:31 AM LAWRENCE, Kansas (Ticker) -- Fifth-ranked Kansas looks to continue its dominance of Big 12 Conference rival Baylor on Saturday.

The Jayhawks (22-1, 7-1 Big 12) has won 12 of the 13 all-time meetings against the Bears. However, Baylor (17-4, 5-2) is much improved this season, already having its conference and overall victory totals from last season.

The balanced Jayhawks, who feature four players who average between 12.2 and 13.3 points, are 16-0 at home. Kansas also leads the nation, winning by an average of 22.6 points.

The Bears, who went 15-16 last season, snapped a two-game losing streak by spoiling Pat Knight's coaching debut with an 80-74 win over Texas Tech on Wednesday.

Baylor has five players averaging double figures, led by junior guard Curtis Jerrells at 14.4 points per game.
