Top-ranked Memphis puts 45-game home streak on line
Feb 9, 2008 - 11:32 AM UCF (12-10) at No. 1 Memphis (22-0) 4:00 pm ESTMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) - Top-ranked Memphis should have little trouble putting aside a distraction Saturday when it hosts Central Florida in what looks to be a Conference USA mismatch.
The nation's only undefeated team, Memphis (22-0, 8-0 Conference USA) has won its conference games by an average of 23.6 points
Memphis also enters with the nation's longest home winning streak at 45 games.
The Tigers could be without forward Robert Dozier, who was benched for Wednesday's rout of SMU by coach John Calipari for violating a team rule. Dozier, who averages 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds, was at a nightclub on Sunday at 2:30 a.m.
Central Florida (12-10, 5-3) snapped a three-game losing streak Wednesday with a 77-63 home win over Marshall.
The Knights are paced by junior guard Jermaine Taylor, who averages 22.1 points and 4.8 rebounds.
