No. 20 Vanderbilt looks to complete sweep of South Carolina

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (Ticker) -- No. 20 Vanderbilt aims for a season sweep of South Carolina on Saturday when the Southeastern Conference rivals meet.

The Commodores (19-4, 4-4 SEC East) made it four straight wins in the series with an 80-73 triumph over the Gamecocks on January 9.

"Vanderbilt is one of the best teams in the SEC," South Carolina coach Dave Odom said. "Our team played well at Vanderbilt and we had to because Vanderbilt did as well."

The Commodores, 14-0 at home, have been led all season offensively by senior swingman Shan Foster at 18.8 points and freshman center A.J. Ogilvy at 17.5 points per game.

South Carolina (11-10, 3-4) enters with some momentum after posing an 80-77 win over Mississippi last Saturday.

Sophomore guard Devan Downey averages 19.8 points and 5.2 assists for South Carolina, which is seeking its third straight win.
