Red-hot UConn hosts Georgia Tech

STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) - No. 19 Connecticut will look to extend its season-high winning streak to seven games on Saturday, facing Georgia Tech in its final non-conference game of the season.

The game is between the two teams that played in the 2004 national championship game, an 84-73 Huskies' win over the Yellow Jackets in San Antonio.

UConn is 4-0 since sophomore guard Jerome Dyson, who was averaging 14.3 points per game, was suspended indefinitely by coach Jim Calhoun. The Huskies are 11-1 at home.

Junior guard A.J. Price is averaging 14.6 points and 6.0 assists for UConn. Junior forward Jeff Adrien is averaging 14.3 points and 7-foot-3 sophomore center Hasheem Thabeet is at 10.6 points and 3.9 blocks per game.

Georgia Tech has won four of its last five games, including Wednesday's 89-83 win at Wake Forest. Senior guard Anthony Morrow averages 14.5 points for the Yellow Jackets, 5-4 on the road this season.
