Indiana meets Ohio State seeking third straight win

Feb 10, 2008 - 2:48 PM No. 13 Indiana (19-3) at Ohio St (16-7) 1:00 pm EST

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) - No. 13 Indiana goes for its third straight win Sunday when it visits Ohio State, last season's national runner-up.

Indiana (19-3, 8-1 Big Ten) followed up a pair of losses with back-to-back wins against Northwestern and Illinois.

Freshman Eric Gordon, who leads the Big Ten in scoring at 21.6 points per game this season, was harassed by a hostile Illinois crowd on Thursday. Gordon had reneged on his verbal commitment to the Illini and signed with Indiana.

Despite the jeers, the first-year sensation scored 16 points and hit a clutch 3-pointer late in regulation to help the Hoosiers come away with a 83-79 victory in double-overtime.

A win on Sunday would clinch Indiana's first winning record on the road since the 2001-02 season.

Ohio State (16-7, 7-3) rebounded from a loss to Iowa with a 65-55 triumph over Michigan on Tuesday.

Othello Hunter scored 15 points and was one of five players in double figures for the Buckeyes, who picked up their fourth win in their last five games.
