Mar 8, 2008 - 2:08 PM Lsu (13-16) at No. 25 Mississippi St (20-9) 4:00 pm EST

STARKVILLE, Mississippi (Ticker) - Jamont Gordon and No. 25 Mississippi State host Louisiana State in the final tuneup before the Southeastern Conference Tournament on Saturday.

The Bulldogs will aim to rebound from a heart-breaking loss and build some momentum as "March Madness" approaches.

On Wednesday Gordon scored 24 points, but the Bulldogs (20-9, 11-4 West) were stunned by Vanderbilt when Shan Foster hit nine 3-pointers - including one with 2.7 seconds left - leading the Commodores to a 86-85 victory.

The SEC West regular season champion, Mississippi State posted a 61-39 win over LSU on January 9. The trip to Starkville will be a reunion for LSU interim coach Butch Pierre, who played at Mississippi State in the 1980's.

The Tigers (13-16, 6-9) have won four straight and are 5-3 since Pierre took over for John Brady on February 7. Freshman forward Anthony Randolph scored a season-high 29 points to lead LSU to a 80-74 win over Alabama on Wednesday.
